We at Gas Utility District 1 of East Baton Rouge Parish realize COVID19 has affected our customers in many different ways and would like to work with you. We, as a courtesy, have not applied late fees or sent out disconnect notices since mid-March 2020. As we move closer to phase III, we are asking anyone with a delinquent account to call our office and speak to a customer service representative on making a payment arrangement/extension to clear up your account. We are getting closer to the winter months when gas bills go up and can be high. We want to help you catch up before winter sets in. When the state goes into Phase III, we will begin applying late fees and sending out disconnect notices on all delinquent accounts. After phase III begins any delinquent account that has not made a payment arrangement/extension is subject to late fees, disconnection of service and reconnect fees. That’s why it is important for our customers that may need a payment plan/extension to please call us and let us know how we can help you. We have several ways to pay your account: night deposit box in our drive thru with check or money order, drive thru during business hours with cash, check, money order, credit/debit card, over the phone during business hours with a credit or debit card. You may also pay online at our site gud1.net.
